David has lived in Newtown since he was 1 year old and has not stopped coming to the church with his family since moving to Newtown.
After finishing his education, David found work with the local council in the IT department. He worked for the council for two years before starting to work full-time for the church.
David became a Christian at a fairly young age and God has used many youth camps and beach missions to help David throughout his life as a Christian.
David was appointed as a deacon of the church in February 2022 and in April 2023, he was appointed to work full-time for the church as a Ministry Apprentice over a 2-year period.
David has a desire to go into full-time pastoral ministry and so is using his time as a Ministry Apprentice to explore whether pastoral ministry is, in fact, the Lord’s will for his life.
As part of his role, David is involved in various church ministries. He helps with the youth work, as a “tech guy” in the sound room, leading home groups, and you might occasionally see him behind the pulpit on a Sunday.
