A safe and exciting club for all young people of secondary school age.

For years 7-13 every Friday at NEC from 7.30 PM to 9.00 PM during term time.

Those in years 10-13 are welcome to stay on from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM for Xtra Time.

All are welcome, come and join us! Cost 50p.

Note to Parents / Guardians

Xchange and Xtra Time at Newtown Evangelical Church are run entirely by volunteer members of the church. Each week we provide opportunities for the youth of Newtown to have fun in a safe place where they also have opportunity to explore and hear about the Christian faith through a weekly Bible talk.

We have a child protection policy in place and all the youth leaders are DBS-checked.

Occasionally, we organise off-site trips such as bowling, ice skating, etc. For these we will need a signed consent form. We try to keep costs as low as possible: weekly subs are 50p, plus money for the tuck shop. Trip costs are charged typically £5–£10, plus money for chips. We are a non-profit club.

Section D. Behaviour expectations

In order for Xchange to remain a safe and inclusive place for young people, we have adopted a zero tolerance policy towards: • use of swearing or foul language in church grounds, • threatening leaders or other children in any way, • persistently defying leaders' instructions, • smoking or vaping anywhere on the church grounds. If your child commits any of the above, please be aware that he or she will be asked to leave the church premises and will be banned from the clubs for at least 1 week. We will also make every effort to contact you and inform you of the situation on the night. However, we trust these incidents will be few and far apart 😊
