If you’ve passed the church building recently, you may have wondered what the yellow ‘Land Rover tyre’ looking thing attached to the wall is! Well, it’s not a tyre at all, it’s actually a defibrillator. A defibrillator is a potentially life-saving piece of equipment for someone having a cardiac arrest.
It’s available for the whole community to use. A defibrillator can save precious minutes while waiting for emergency services to arrive. Please spread the word about its existence, and help increase the chances of local people surviving cardiac arrest.
The Community Heartbeat Trust will be delivering a Community Defibrillator Seminar on Monday 26th February at 7:30pm at the church building. All are welcome. They will be explaining how the equipment works and how it can benefit our community.
Everybody is welcome, no special skills are required, just your willingness to play an important role in the event of a medical emergency.
